Want to provide your scouts with virtual STEM activities this summer that are taught by experienced instructors?
Our team is excited to launch a Vidcode-led Virtual Coding Camp specifically designed for Girl Scouts and the Coding for Good Badges! This summer, your scouts will have the opportunity to learn JavaScript coding skills from the professionals in a fun, creative, and social environment.
Vidcode was founded by female engineers with tween and teen girls in mind. The Vidcode team is thrilled to be partnering with Girl Scouts to support our mission of empowering girls to create things they love with code.
What scouts will need:

A computer or tablet that can run Zoom

Scouts will receive 1 hour of instructor time each week. Camps are social, scouts will work on projects together, be inspired by each other’s work, and help others debug. Best of all, we’ll include our full 300+ hours of activities for scout campers for the entire summer.
All sessions are for scouts aged 11-18 and have no prerequisites - no coding experience is necessary to take part in camp!

Coding for Cadettes
$299 / 4 sessions / Tuesdays 2pm-3pm ET
Dates scheduled custom to group
Campers will learn JavaScript by creating a video meme, personal avatar, and app showcasing community data they collect themselves. All participants will earn the Cadettes Coding Basics, Game Development, and App Development badges.
Coding for Seniors
$299 / 4 sessions / Wednesdays 2pm-3pm ET
Dates scheduled custom to group
Campers learn Intermediate JavaScript by making individualized projects. Scouts code personalized portraits, learn to create game mechanics, and build an interactive map app. All participants will earn the Senior Coding Basics, Game Development, and App Development badges.
Coding for Ambassadors
$299 / 4 sessions / Thursdays 2pm-3pm ET
Dates scheduled custom to group
Campers learn Advanced JavaScript by making music videos, video games, and data visualization. All participants will earn the Ambassador Coding Basics, Game Development, and App Development badges.
